Arlene Kavanagh is a physician assistant with Dr. Mechrefe’s team. Although she is trained in the care and management of general orthopedic issues, she has a specialized interest and training in foot and ankle reconstruction. She sees patients in the office setting and assists Dr. Mechrefe in the operating room. She feels patient education is key to compliance and better outcomes for her patients and makes it a priority.
She earned her Combined Sciences degree from Youngstown State University and completed her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at James Madison University in Virginia. She is nationally certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Rhode Island Academy of Physician Assistants (RIAPA).
Arlene enjoys spending time with and talking about her family. She hails from northeastern Ohio and is an avid Ohio State football fan.
