Benjamin Contreras earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Rhode Island, collaborating with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and exercise physiologists. Subsequently he worked as an EMT throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Upon receiving a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Bridgeport, he became a Physician Assistant at an urgent care facility.

Benjamin specializes in the treatment of chronic and acute injuries of the hip and knee, as well as sports related injuries. His work includes robotic-assisted hip and knee replacements, knee arthroplasty, fracture care, and non-operative management of the hip and knee. He takes great pleasure in seeing hip and knee patients with significant pain recover and start to enjoy their active lifestyles again.

When he’s not seeing patients, Benjamin’s hobbies include soccer, skiing, hiking, fishing, and kayaking. He also enjoys watching sports and spending time with friends and family.
