Are You Ready for Some (Fantasy) Football?!

September has arrived which means it is officially football season! For most of us, rooting for our local team, the New England Patriots, is enough entertainment. For those of us who need even more football, there is fantasy football. It seems like over the last decade, fantasy football popularity has exploded. What is fantasy football you may ask? It’s a game that allows you to be General Manager of your own team. Leagues generally range in size from 10-14 teams. Each General Manager drafts a team that includes 1 Quarterback, 2 running backs, 3 Wide Receivers, 1 Flex player, 1 Tight End, 1 Defense, and 1 Kicker. On a weekly basis, your team goes head-to-head with an opponent to see who can score the most points for the win.

Here at OrthoRI, we have had a league, in some capacity, for over a decade. As our company has grown, so too has interest in fantasy football – we now have two leagues! At the end of each season, the top six teams of each league earn their position in the “Premier League” and the bottom six teams get dropped to the “Not So Premier League”. The winners get bragging rights for a whole year! Listed below are the team names and general managers of each league. Be sure to cheer on your favorite provider and stay tuned for weekly scores and standings at the physical therapy offices.
