I have exciting news to report. On Thursday March 7, Orthopedics Rhode Island, in conjunction with the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce, had a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of our new Middletown office.
The office is freshly remodeled, spacious, completely ADA accessible and full of natural light. It is Orthopedic Rhode Island's first clinical site in the East Bay and offers Aquidneck Island and its environs access to world class orthopedic care close to home.
Initially it will be staffed by multiple specialties including Dr. Michael Mason (Total Joint Replacement), Dr. Akshay Yadhati (Spine Specialist), Dr.Ian Madom (Spine Specialist), Dr. Brenda Burke (Rheumatologist) and Joanna Lanz (Physician Assistant).
In short order we will adding other musculoskeletal specialists including upper extremity and hand, sports medicine, as well as foot and ankle. Essentially the full gamut of Orthopedic Specialty Care will be available to our friends and neighbors.
In addition, it is our intent to have a provider available to assess and treat “walk in" patients. Twist an ankle? Fall on your wrist? Get assessed, x-rayed and treated immediately. Need specialty follow-up? We will expedite it.
Our goal is to provide immediate availability to the best Orthopedic Care anywhere. We want to help our patients become pain free and mobile as quickly as possible.
