Alaina joined the practice in 2017 after earning her B.S in Exercise Science and Doctorate in Physical Therapy, both at Simmons College. Her clinical education background includes a variety of settings, including outpatient orthopedics and neurology, as well as sub-acute rehabilitations and senior living.

Alaina has a strong professional interest in manual therapy and has always enjoyed working with athletes and leading an active lifestyle. Her clinical education includes certifications in Dry Needling, Spinal Manipulation, and Functional Movement Techniques for taping.

While at Simmons College, Alaina competed in Division III Softball and continues to stay involved in recreational sports. She has also been an Assistant Coach for the Waves Softball organization, an amateur travel team, for the past four years.

Injury Prevention for Summer

With temperatures heating up and the final school bells ringing, this can only mean one thing… Summer is upon us! Rhode Island is great for a lot of reasons, but one of its biggest summer perks is the endless access to water. I personally prefer the more relaxing water sports such as kayaking and paddleboarding but occasionally, the thrill-seeking part of me sees the fun in wakeboarding, waterskiing, tubing, jet skiing, etc. The fun, however, may also come with some risk.
