Joy earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Springfield College, and has clinical experience in sports medicine, outpatient orthopedics, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. Her passion for physical therapy is encapsulated by the belief that exercise is medicine, and that movement is the fundamental background to help someone unlock their potential and achieve their goals.
Joy firmly believes that pain is not a necessary component of therapy, but rather PT is a tool to prevent injuries and optimize function. Joy enjoys helping patients achieve their goals and get back to what they love doing most whether it’s a sport or leisure activity. She believes that as each patient and their diagnosis is unique and so should their individualized treatment plan.
A former competitive gymnast, Joy spends her time outside the clinic strength training, running, doing yoga, or being with family and friends.
“Physical therapy is not just about treating injuries, it’s about preventing them.” – Unknown
