Prior to joining Ortho Rhode Island, Julie attended the University of Hartford where she earned both her Bachelor of Science degree and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Julie is Level I certified in Dry Needling and a certified Lymphedema Therapist. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Julie’s interest in Physical Therapy began in childhood when she had to undergo three orthopedic surgeries and multiple physical therapy sessions of her own, starting at the age of ten. These experiences have given Julie a true understanding of the journey her patients have to undergo. She has a passion for providing support, education, and guidance during each appointment so that every person can achieve their own personal goals. Julie has significant experience in the rehabilitation of patients with orthopedic injuries, such as overuse injuries, as well as arthroscopic surgeries, and total joint replacements. She also has experience treating vertigo an enjoys treating patients suffering with lymphedema.
When not working with patients, Julie enjoys traveling, cooking and baking, spending time with her family, and being a dog mom to her rescue, Ruby.
