Laura earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from James Madison University. While in school, Laura was an active student leader of the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association and continues to be a current member. She has also earned a Group Fitness Certification from the Athletic and Fitness Association of America and has received specialized training in Tai Chi Quan Moving for Better Balance.
With experience in geriatrics, neurological rehabilitation, and aquatic therapy, Laura is motivated by helping patients return to their desired level of functional mobility and achieving their goals. She believes in a holistic approach to patient care, that empowers patients with tools and strategies they can continue to implement after they no longer require physical therapy.
Outside of the clinic, Laura is an avid surfer, skier, and snowboarder. She is also a recreational runner who has completed several half-marathons and one marathon. Laura is a self-proclaimed foodie who loves to cook, enjoys traveling overseas, and is learning photography and to play the guitar.
